Silvio Pozzoli, aka Silver Pozzoli, is an Italian singer and chorister born on 19 July 1953 in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan). At just fifteen years old he won a music competition singing a "Beatles" medley with his older brother. A few years later, during a show at a dance club, he was noticed by a music producer. Silvio was called for rehearsals as a backing vocalist in a recording studio. When he showed up for the appointment he found himself in the recording room with Adriano Celentano and Rossana Casale. This was just the beginning of a very long and prestigious career as a chorister. In that period, he also collaborated on the theme songs for the historic television series "Atlas Ufo Robot" and "Captain Harlock". One of the first important collaborations occurred with Vasco Rossi for the album "Bollicine". Silver Pozzoli's real debut as a singer occurred in 1983. Producer Stefano Scalera asked Silvio to sing "Do It Again", a song from his new musical project "Club House". “Do It Again” was a medley with Michael Jackson's famous song “Billie Jean”. The single was recorded in Rimini, was released in the United Kingdom and achieved unexpected success. A few months later, Silvio was called to sing the first version (12" inch mix) of "Mad Desire" (song attributed to Den Harrow) subsequently re-sung by Tom Hooker in the album version. In 1983 he participated in the musical project "Pink Project" singing the hit "Jeopardy" by the Greg Kihn Band in the medley song "B-Project". His greatest solo success came in 1985 with the song “Around My Dream”. The single was produced by Stefano Scalera, arranged by Romano Bais and played by his friend Mario Flores of "The Creatures". Silvio participated as a backing vocalist (together with Marco Ferradini) in the hit single "Terra Promessa" by Eros Ramazzotti. He did the backing vocals on "Self Control" by "Raf" and "Tarzan Boy" by "Baltimora". Silver Pozzoli's second solo single was "Step by Step" (1985), followed by the first album "Around My Dream" (1987). With Moreno Ferrara he sang the song "Gira la ruota", which from 1995 to 2003 was the theme song for the quiz "La Ruota della Fortuna" hosted by Mike Bongiorno. Again with Mike Bongiorno, in 1999 he became the vocal trainer for the aspiring imitators in the program "Momenti di Gloria" broadcast on Canale 5. In 1998 he recorded the soundtrack for the film "Mulan" by Walt Disney in the Italian film version. In recent years he has participated as a chorister in numerous Sanremo Festivals.
