"My Mine" is an Italian group of Italian disco music, founded in 1983 by three musicians from Terni: Stefano Micheli (vocals and keyboard), Carlo Malatesta (guitar, keyboard and vocals) and Danilo Rosati (drum machines, sequencers and keyboards) ). The producer of the project was Mauro Malavasi from Modena, considered one of the main promoters of Italian pop in the eighties (Peter Jacques Band, Change, B.B. & Q Band) who received several prizes and gold records in his career. The evolution of My Mine came from the bands of the "Water Krause" and the "Hypnotic Tango". The Water Krauses were formed in Terni in 1979 and were active for a couple of years. The line-up included Luciano Brogelli on vocals, Enrico Conte on bass, Massimo Rufini on sax and future "My Mine" Carlo Malatesta on guitar and Danilo Rosati on drums. Their genre was post punk / new wave and they held their concerts only in central Italy. In 1981 they presented themselves on Italian Records and changed their name to Ipnotico Tango and also the genre changed to a dark electronic with dark Italian atmospheres. Then the other future My Mine Stefano Micheli entered the formation. Their pieces Ipnotico Tango, Erotico Mango and Spasmodico Rango became part of the compilation Ref. 907 produced by Oderso Rubini. In 1983 the group started the "My Mine" group and thanks to the meeting in Bologna with the producer "Fonoprint" Mauro Malavasi, they recorded the single "Hypnotic Tango", obtaining a good commercial success in Italy, in Germany (fifth position) and especially in Spain (first place in the ranking); the song became one of the most beloved of the Italian disco era. In 1983 the song was also the theme song of the music program Hit Parade Discoring Estate by Raiuno. The My Mines were destined to remain one of the one-hit wonder in the history of music, for which Hypnotic Tango was the only career success. The next single Zorro (1984) went unnoticed and failed to position itself at the top of the European charts, while in the 45th Cupid Girl of 1985 only a few were sold. Also, in 1985 their first and only album "Stone" was released. So it was that in 1986 My Mine, after the release of the single "Can Delight", interrupted their artistic activity. In the following years, the song "Hypnotic Tango" was repeated several times in various remixes, first of all the German version of "Master Blaster" in 2003. In 2016, after thirty years of their dissolution, My Mine returned with the song "Like a Fool" with the new singer Ilaria Melis.
