Orlando Riva Sound, commonly abbreviated to “O.R.S.”, was a German musical group founded in 1977 by Anthony Monn and Rainer Pietsch. Anthony Monn, pseudonym of Anton Monn, was born in Munich on March 17, 1944. Rainer Pietsch was born in Walburg (Germany) on April 12, 1944. Their first success was in 1977 with the predominantly instrumental song "Moon Boots." Shortly after the group was founded, singer and dancer Sophia Reaney was added. In 1978 the single "Body to Body Boogie" was released, followed by the album. In addition to the previously unreleased tracks "Disco Mussorgsky", "Sweet Release", "We're Not Alone" and "Dream Machine", an 8-minute extended version of the song "Moon Boots" was included in the 33 rpm. 1979, the group represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest, obtaining the fifth position with the song "Lady, Lady, Lady". In that year, they achieved great success with the song "Indian Reservation", cover by Paul Revere & the Raiders. In 1980, the single "Fire on the Water" was released. Their final success came in 1981 with "OTT (Over The Top)" after which the band disbanded. Rainer Pietsch died of a heart attack in Munich of Bavaria on 21 August 1997.
