"Mr. Flagio ”was an Italo-Disco music project created in 1983 by Aldo De Scalzi, Flavio Vidulich and Giorgio Bacco. Giorgio Bacco began his activity as a disc jockey in 1975 in a club in Chiavari. After a few months he was contacted by the owners of the disco "Babboleo" to work as a DJ on console and as a radio speaker in "Radio Babboleo". In 1982 he met Aldo De Scalzi and Flavio Vidulich. In that same year, the "Squish" record label distributed by "Best Records" and "Disco Magic Records" was also born. They decided to re-arrange almost for fun, a 1981 song released by the group “Material” and written by Bill Laswell and Michael Beinhorn. The song, titled "Take A Chance", was completely distorted by a drum machine, by the vocals made with the vocoder and by the backing vocals of the singer Gwen Aantti (collaborator of the "Squish"). The solo of the Nile Rodgers style guitar (Chic band) was performed by Marco Colombo (guitarist of "Cacao" and "Giuni Russo"). The record did not have a great record success and went almost unnoticed. About fifteen years later, towards the end of the 90s, something incredible happened. In all the trendiest clubs in Berlin, “Take A Chance” by “Mr. Flagio” became the most danced and loved song by all young Germans. It is currently considered a true cult record of Italo-Disco and is highly sought after by collectors. Back in 1983, the De Scalzi-Bacco-Vidulich trio released their second single under the pseudonym “Art Of Love”: Looking Through The Night. In 1984 they will release four more Italo-Disco singles: "Savoire Faire-Talkin 'To The Stars", "Moments-The Station", "Mr. Flagio-Get The Night" and "A.G.F.-Loved By You". In the nineties Giorgio Bacco became director of the CNR (National Radio Circuit), president of AGR (Radio and Television Journalistic Agency) and program director of Radio 24.
