France Joli is a Canadian singer born in Montreal on February 2, 1963. Daughter of a hardware dealer and a teacher, France Joli grew up in the city Vaudreuil-Dorion. At eleven, she dropped out of the public school system (her mother tutored her) to focus on an acting career by appearing in various television commercials. He approached the world of music at the age of thirteen thanks to the meeting with the musician Tony Green. According to some sources, Tony Green heard France sing in an end-of-year performance in the fall of 1978 and was impressed. So he decided to produce it and make it debut with an album. On April 17, 1979, France Joli's first album with the same title was released under the "Prelude" label. The single "Come To Me" reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and the album reached number twenty-six. During the recording of the song "Come To Me", France Joli was backed by backing vocalist Barbara Jane Ingram. In 1980 the second album "Tonight" was released but the 33 laps failed to enter the Top 100 of the US "Billboard" chart. In 1982, the third album “Now !” was produced by Ray Reid and William Anderson of the band "Crown Heights Affair". The beautiful single "Gonna Get Over You" reached number two on the American dance charts. In that same year, France Joli was the opening in the concerts of the famous musical group "Commodores".
