"Don Ray", pseudonym of Raymond Donnez, was a French arranger, musician and producer born on March 7, 1942. Don Ray played keyboards on many Cerrone albums: "Love In C Minor", "Cerrone IV", "Cerrone VI” and “Cerrone VIII”. In 1977 he arranged the cover of "Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood" by Santa Esmeralda. In 1978, Don Ray released his only solo album "The Garden Of Love", which featured his hit single "Got To Have Loving". The piece was composed, arranged and produced in collaboration with Cerrone, who also played the drums. He then collaborated with Alec R. Costandinos on many of his albums and singles. Raymond Donnez passed away on March 7, 2019.
