"B.B. And Band” was an Italian musical group created by Mario Boncaldo and Tony Carrasco. Mario "Mariano" Boncaldo was born in Messina on March 20, 1949 and moved with his family to Forlì as a child. His musical career began in the early 1970s when he was a DJ in the famous Romagna nightclub "Pineta Club" in Milano Marittima. In 1982 he met producer Tony Carrasco and they decided to collaborate on a dance music project. Thus was born the single "All Night Long" by "B.B. And Band", one of the first successes of dance music entirely made in Italy. The song was a great success and reached the top of the Italian and European charts. The single was also a resounding success in radio stations and discos. The second single, "That Special Magic", also achieved excellent sales results. They therefore decided to make the album "Wee Thee People" inspired by American sounds. After the album was released, Boncaldo and Carrasco decided to leave "B.B. And Band” to devote himself to the new “Klein & MBO” project. Mario Boncaldo died in Rome on March 18, 2015.
