    Tom Hooker, seudónimo de Thomas Beecher Hooker nació en Greenwich (Connecticut) el 18 de noviembre de 1957. Era un cantante, compositor y productor conocido en los años ochenta en el género Italo-Disco. Los padres se establecieron en Europa cuando Thomas tenía solo seis meses: primero en Italia, luego en Alemania y finalmente en Suiza, en Ginebra. En 1980 se mudó permanentemente a Italia para seguir su carrera musical. Después de grabar sus primeros singles bajo la etiqueta milanesa "Harmony", en 1982 pasó bajo la etiqueta "Full Time" e hizo una canción de 45 rpm cantada en italiano "Dove andiamo". En 1983 también tuvo una experiencia cinematográfica protagonizando la película "Jocks" de Riccardo Sesani, ambientada en el mundo de las discotecas. El punto de inflexión llegó en 1984 cuando conoció a los productores de música italiana-disco Roberto Turatti y Miki Chieregato, con quienes comenzó una colaboración que duró durante la década de 1980. Junto con este equipo de producción hizo muchos discos muy exitosos. Al firmar H.T. Beecher a menudo compuso las letras de sus canciones y las interpretadas por otros personajes lanzados por los propios productores, como U.S.S.R. por Eddy Huntington; También prestó su voz a la mayoría de las canciones de Den Harrow. Sus éxitos incluyen Looking For love (1986), Atlantis, Help Me (1987) y Feeling Okay (1988). También participó en el Festival de San Remo de 1981 con la canción "Toccami". Actualmente vive en Las Vegas (Estados Unidos) con su esposa Suzanne.
